Do you find yourself questioning your values, your path in life, or the answer to the question, “Who am I?” During an identity crisis, you may feel lost, confused, and unsure of yourself. An identity crisis involving gender identity can be especially difficult, as it can involve questioning your fundamental sense of self. If you are struggling to cope with an identity crisis, seeking help is a positive first step. Therapy can give you the space to ask and process questions you may be struggling with, identify your strengths and values, do self-esteem work, and process what may have happened that led to the identity crisis itself. I can help you navigate self-exploration, gender expression, growth, confidence, and resilience.
My clients describe me as an authentic, interactive, and compassionate listener who is able to create a safe and supportive environment for them. I am committed to helping you understand and accept yourself, and to develop healthy and fulfilling relationships. I am a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience working with adults of all backgrounds who are struggling with issues related to identity, self-esteem, and relationships. My approach to therapy involves a variety of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, advocate for racial justice/equity, and support people in recovery. I am passionate about working with transgender and nonbinary adults seeking a space for emotional healing and coping where they feel safe, celebrated, and supported. My specialties include working with adults who have experienced trauma, chronic stress, depression, or anxiety. If you are interested in therapy, please reach out to me. I would be happy to discuss your needs and goals and see if I am a good fit for you.

Please reach us at info@latherapyco.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
You can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation and we will reach out to you. The purpose of the consultation is for you to discuss your concerns and ask any questions about therapy. We will link you with a good fit for a therapist in our practice and schedule an appointment or offer referrals to practices to suit your needs. After setting up your appointment, you will receive your initial paperwork electronically through a client portal to complete 48 hours before your first appointment.
We want to give you what you need in the shortest timeframe, and we are here for you long-term. The majority of our clients see progress within a few short months. Therapy often starts on a weekly basis and decreases in frequency over time.
While we schedule most of our appointments in the mornings and early afternoons, we do have some evening slots available. They typically book up weeks in advance, so if you have any flexibility in your schedule, we can fit you in much sooner.
We do not offer on-call services. We urge our clients to contact 911 or their nearest emergency room in the event of an emergency/crisis. Current clients are welcome to leave their provider a voicemail message to request a check- in prior to their next session if needed. Our policy states that we will return your message within 48 hours. In order to protect your privacy and for the purpose of healthy client-therapist boundaries, we do not do text messaging and do not email advice or have clinical discussion via e-mail.
